Results 2018 of the Compagnie Centrale de Réassurance (CCR)

CCR ALGERThe turnover of the Compagnie Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) reached 32.076 billion DZD (271.927 million USD) in 2018 against 29.472 billion DZD (256.282 million USD) in 2017, an increase of 8.84%. With premiums worth 128.731 million USD, the fire insurance accounted for 47.34% of the Algerian reinsurer's portfolio. It is followed by engineering with 20.24% that is 55.042 million USD of premiums and natural disasters with 9.07% i.e 24.651 million in premiums.

The net result amounted to 26.232 million USD, up by 2.6% compared to the 25.565 million USD recorded in 2017.

The assets and shareholder's equity grew by 7.13% and 2.7% respectively; from 690.018 million USD to 739.242 million for the first mentioned and from 251.274 million USD to 258.057 million USD for the second. The share capital remains unchanged at 186.504 million USD.

In terms of technical operations, the loss ratio rose by 1.38 point at 52.66%. The combined ratio was set 84.06% in 2018, up by 0.58 point over one year.
