Saham Assurance: H1 2020 results

Saham Assurance recorded a turnover of 2.87 billion MAD (292 million USD) in H1 2020, a 6.6% decrease compared to the same period in 2019.

The non-life class of business has slightly dropped by 0.2% with 2.44 billion MAD (249 million USD) of premiums by late June 2020.

The life branch activity recorded a 31.9% drop in earnings which were set at 423 million MAD (43.132 million USD). Such underperformance is due to the decline of savings contracts.

The investments reached 14.79 billion MAD (1.5 billion USD), an increase of 1.5% compared to 30 June 2019. The technical provisions increased by 3.5% during the period under review.
