Saham Assurance: Quarterly results in decline
Within a state of economic uncertainty related to COVID-19, Saham Assurance recorded a 6.7% decline in turnover for the first quarter of 2020.
The latter was established at 1.75 billion MAD (174.245 million USD). With a 35.1% drop compared to 31 March 2019, the life activity accounted for only 247 million MAD (24.593 million USD) in premiums at the end of March 2020.
Non-life underwritings reached 1.5 billion MAD (149.353 million USD), slightly increasing by 0.5% compared to the same period last year. The investments slightly rose by 0.8% to reach 14.6 billion MAD (1.453 billion USD).
