Sanlam raises its shareholding in Saham Finances

South African insurer Sanlam has raised its shareholding in the capital of the Moroccan group Saham Finances from 30% to 46.6%. Announced in early 2017, the transaction, worth 329 million USD, was finalized in mid-May 2017.

Thanks to this move, both groups aspire to extend their presence on the African continent.
