Seminar Africa Re, insurance of renewable energy

Africa Re held on 6 and 7 May in Algiers a seminar on risk covers related to renewable energy. The leader of African reinsurance anticipates increased use of clean energy in areas as diverse as agriculture, construction, SMEs/SMIs.

The meeting aimed to familiarize the insurers to such risks and to invite them to develop in the future, specific products for their coverage.
This is Kamal Marami, manager of insurance supervision at the ministry of finance, who presided over the opening session. Several CEOs of insurance companies were among the sixty persons present in the room.

The animation of the seminar was moderated by Mohamed Belaziz, regional manager of Africa Re Casablanca and two international experts Guilhem De Saint André and Xavier Guillerand.
