Sonarwa has paid up an important claim

Sonarwa, Rwanda's number one insurer, in terms of turnover, has disbursed 507 million RWF (903 474 USD) for the indemnification of a methane-extracting barge on the Kivu lake. The total of the claims paid in 2009amount to 4.5 billion RWF (8  million USD). The fire which broke out in Utexrwa plant in 2002 worth 1 750 000 USD stands as the biggest claim in the history of the company.
