Sonatrach risk insured at 70% outside Algeria

The lack of capacity requires from the local market to place 70% of Sonatrach risks with international reinsurers. Sonatrach’s insurance program includes the coverage of production facilities, drilling rigs, pipeline transportation, oil field control, third party liability and victualling. The cost of the overall coverage reached 32 million USD of annual premiums.
