Standard & Poor's has been suspected of abuse of authority

A new scandal has just tarnished the image of finance. The American rating agency Standard & Poor's has been suspected of abuse of authority. It has constrained financial establishments to pay license fees to access American corporate ISIN codes. In response to the claims submitted to it, the European Commission has initiated a formal inquiry into the matter.
