STAR Assurances back in business

StarSTAR Assurances resumed its activities. The agencies and subsidiaries of the market leader have been reopened since Monday 4 May 2020, the first date of post-lockdown. The offices are open to the public from 8:15 am to 1:45 pm throughout Ramadan.

The policyholders who have benefited from an extension of the validity of their motor contract, from 22 March to 3 May 2020, are required to go to one of the company's sales outlets to retrieve their new insurance certificate.

In order to comply with the social-distancing measures, the deadlines for the above operation are set as follows:

  • Individuals whose vehicles have an even number plate may obtain their certificate from 4 to 14 May 2020.
  • Individuals whose vehicles have an odd number plate may be granted their certificate from 15 to 31 May 2020.

This measure is valid for both tacitly renewable contracts and fixed-term contracts. In addition, the insurer should be notified with the claims occurring between 23 March and 3 May 2020, by 11 May 2020 at the latest.
