STAR: Excellent results in 2019

StarLa Société Tunisienne d’Assurances et de Réassurances (STAR) has published its 2019 results. The gross written premiums amounted to 374.8 million TND (133.78 million USD), up 4.5% in comparison with 2018.

The incurred losses remained stable at 285.9 million TND (102.049 million USD). The net investment income grew by 15.9% reaching 77.4 million TND (27.627 million USD ) by the end of 2019 against 66.8 million TND (22.193 million USD) one year before. The net profit rose by 24.3% from 17.7 million TND (5.880 million USD) in 2018 to 22 million TND (7.852 million USD) at 31/12/2019.

The board of directors, met on 6 March, will propose at its regular general meeting scheduled on 22 April 2020, the distribution of a dividend worth 3.820 TND (1.36) per share.
