STAR: H1 2021 results

The Société Tunisienne d'Assurances et de Réassurances (STAR) posted, as at 30 June 2021, a 3.6% decrease in its written premiums. These dropped from 210.318 million TND (72.98 million USD) during the first half of 2020 to 202.913 million TND (72.6 million USD) a year later.

Non-life premiums amounted to 184.837 million TND (66.16 million USD) and life premiums stood at 18.076 million TND (6.47 million USD).

The paid claims rose by 33% from 97.9 million TND (33.97 million USD) by the end of June 2020 to 130.19 million TND (46.6 million USD) during the same period in 2021.

At the end of June 2021, the financial products reached 49.81 million TND (17.8 million USD), a 7.7% increase compared to the 46.247 million TND (16.04 million USD) recorded in H1 2020.
