Strategic partnership between Zurich Insurance Group and Citibank

The Swiss group Zurich Insurance and Citibank NA (Citi) have signed an agreement allowing the Zurich group to offer life insurance solutions to Citi's customers in the Middle East.

This exclusive 15-year agreement is expected to come into force in 2015. It covers the UAE, Bahrain (subject to authorities) and also applies to non resident Indian expatriates in the Middle East.
Upon signature of the agreement, Jawed Barna, CEO of Zurich Global Life Middle East and Africa, said: "This agreement underlines Zurich's continued commitment to invest in the region and further consolidate its position as a leading life insurer in the Middle East".
