Sudan's insurance market appeals to foreign investors

Several international insurance companies have displayed interest in entering the Sudanese market. This enthusiasm follows the lifting, on October 6, 2017, of sanctions imposed on Sudan by the United States.

In an effort to encourage foreign investment, local authorities have indicated that they will soon be receiving administrative relief. Local actors, on their part, expressed their fear of the ensuing pressure of competition.
