Swiss Re launches into reinsurance of Chinese agricultural risks

In collaboration with Sunlight Agriculture Mutual Insurance Co, Swiss Re has launched a reinsurance program of agricultural risks in China.
This program concerns 28 counties of Heilongjiang Province and covers damage to the life and property of farmers as well as their families. It also supports loss of income caused by flooding, excessive rainfall, drought and low temperatures.

The cover limit offered by Swiss Re for the counties involved is set at 348 million USD.
