Switzerland: Swiss Re, number one in terms of sustainable development

Swiss re has been awarded the Dow Jones (DJSI) top position when it comes to sustainable development for the year 2016. This is the tenth time that the Swiss group wins this distinction. The reinsurer has once again been rewarded for its good understanding of the problem data.

Uncertainties associated with sustainable development create risks that represent further opportunities for the reinsurance world. This award also rewards Swiss Re for its excellent cooperation with its private and public customers and partners, a collaboration that helped create innovative solutions in the area of climate and natural catastrophes, farming risks, renewable energies and increase in lifespan.
