The Angolan insurance market wakes up

In a market survey of the Angolan insurance market, the audit firm KPMG found that insurance growth has gained momentum since the country’s independence in 2000. Today, ten insurers are sharing the market against only one operator twelve years ago. Five other companies are waiting for their license.

As far as intermediaries are concerned, 21 companies are in operation and eleven new ones will be after getting approval from authorities. Most companies are operating in Luanda, the capital.
