The CMA plans to launch an insurance comparator

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) plans to set up a website with a database for insurance policies comparison.

Named E-insurance Gate, this comparator should allow customers to choose the best-fitted covers for their needs.

The database, connected to that of Royal Oman Police (ROP) and to insurance companies, will give access to fares of various motor insurance policies, as well as details on insurers and their Board members.

According to Qais Al Suhi, specialist at the Directorate of Insurance Supervision, E-insurance Gate should allow, in the long term, the purchase of insurance policies via smartphones.
