The Contract Program will give more visibility to the Moroccan insurance market

The site of the 2010-2015 Contract Program would allow the market development by promoting public access to insurance. Insurers are expecting this project to produce more control over expertise businesses, occupational medicine and judicial indemnity which are traditionally conducive to fraud. Concerns about the extension of health coverage are also very strong. Finally professionals hope that this project will lead to a tax system favorable to savings and thus to insurance. The sector accounts for 20 billion MAD (2.5 billion USD) of premiums in 2009 with 90 billion MAD (11.5 billion USD) of technical reserves and 91 billion MAD (11.6 billion) of net investments.
