A fire broke out on October 6, 2005 in a hydrocarbon reservoir at Skikda's oil terminal.
The explosion, which claimed the lives of 2 people and injured an equal number, has caused damages estimated at 8 million USD. An investigation is in course to determine with accuracy the circumstances of the fire occurrence.
