The "Insurance Amendment Bill" could be harmful for small entities

The authorities of the FSB (Financial Services Board) estimate that the promulgation of a new Insurance Amendment will have little effect on the larger insurance companies, but it could destabilize the smallest structures.

The amendment, to be promulgated on July 2003, will reinforce in particular capital requirements and the constitution of provisions for the evaluation of life insurers' assets and liabilities.
