The January storms will cost more than 26 million USD to motor insurance

The storms that hit Oman on January 19, 2015 , generated an economic loss of 85 million OMR (221 ​​million USD) according to initial estimates .
This amount includes damage affecting roads, bridges, government buildings, private homes as well as schools and hospitals.

Many vehicles were damaged by snow and hail. According to the Capital Market Authority ( CMA ) , the bill for only motor insurance only would exceed 10 million OMR (26 million USD).
