The overall premium volume of the Algerian market amounted to 46.541 billion DZD (675 million USD) in 2006 against 41 billion DZD (563 million USD) in 2005, that is, a 13% rise.
The classes of business most written are motor which accounts for 45% of the turnover, fire and allied perils 38% and marine 9%.
