The middle class and seniors support the insurance sector

The President of the Insurance Supervisory Commission confirmed that the insurance industry is strongly related to the middle class and seniors for whom many products are studied.

The sector achieved a turnover of 2 400 billion CNY (366 billion USD) in 2015.

Profits reached 282.4 billion CNY (43.5 billion USD), while the capital of all players totalled 12 400 billion CNY (1 911 billion USD).

These figures are the best in the market since the financial crisis.

This increase resulted from the growing demand of a middle class which is expanding, showing a growing interest in insurance products.
