The union of general agents dismisses the draft bill initiated by CGA
The national union of Tunisian insurance agents (SNAGAT) has expressed objection to the bill for the overhaul of the business. The draft bill in the making authorizes the distribution of insurance products via banks, travel agencies, leasing companies, car dealerships, etc.
According to SNAGAT’s members, this bill constitutes a direct menace to jobs and to the profession of insurance agents.
According to SNAGAT, the draft bill is likely to destabilize the organization of the sector and deteriorate the quality of service provided to customers by players that are endowed with neither experience in insurance nor the qualifications required.
