Thierry Derez, CEO of Covéa resigns from SCOR's board of directors

Thierry Derez, CEO of Covéa, quits SCOR's board of directors. The Mutual insurance group explains the definitive withdrawal of T. Derez by the fact that the reinsurer obstructed the exercise of his mandate. The dialogue between Covéa and SCOR had become impossible as a result of several aborted attempts to reconcile.

As a reminder, Covéa is SCOR's largest shareholder with an 8.2% share of the voting rights. The mutual insurer recently attempted to take control of SCOR. The acquisition was rejected by the French reinsurer.

Following this resignation, Covéa will no longer be represented in the SCOR's board.
