Training in agricultural insurance in Tunisia

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has scheduled a training program revolving around the agricultural risks in collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture.

The session which was concluded on February 28th, 2019 and where 26 experts have gathered together, aims at improving the rate of Agricultural Risk Coverage.

Tunisia is keen on learning from the Turkish model in order to develop its agricultural insurance sector. The aforementioned sector employs 16% of the active Tunisian population and contributes by nearly 10% to the national GDP.
