Trump tax reform penalizes AIG's activity

The US insurer AIG recorded a net loss of 6 billion USD in 2017. The pre-tax result, set at 1.47 billion USD, is however positive.

The company officials attribute this loss to the new tax reform adopted by the Trump administration.

Added to this loss, there was a 4.2 billion record compensation paid for natural disasters in 2017.
