Tunis Re, increasing results for the first quarter 2018

Tunis Re has published its financial statements for the first quarter 2018. The Tunisian reinsurer recorded a turnover increasing by 15% from 39.6 million TND (17.5 million USD) at 31 March 2017 to 45.6 million TND (19.18 million USD) one year later.

The retakaful business generated 3.19 million TND (1.35 million USD) in premiums, up by 6.6% compared to the same period of 2017. The gross incurred losses increased by 38.5% at 6.01 million TND (2.53 million USD).

The financial income improved by 28%, from 3.56 million TND (1.57 million USD) at the end of March 2017 to 4.57 million TND (1.92 million USD) during the same period.
