Tunis Re: results of the first semester 2020

As at 30 June 2020, Tunis Re posted a 1.8% decline in turnover which went from 84.474 million TND (28.529 million USD) in the first half of 2019 to 82.940 million TND (28.78 million USD) one year later.

During the first six months of 2020, the non-life premiums amounted to 69.526 million TND (24.125 million USD). The life premiums reached 4.391 million TND (1.523 million USD).

The Retakaful activity recorded a decline of 2.06%, established at 9.023 million TND (3.13 million USD). The incurred losses increased by 15% from 45.873 million TND (15.492 million USD) to 52.805 million TND (18.323 million USD).

The financial products reached 12.778 million TND (4.433 million USD) on 30 June 2020; an increase of 12.6% compared to the 11.345 million TND (3.831 million USD) recorded in the end of June 2019.
