Turkey to introduce long term care insurance

healthThe Turkish authorities are planning to implement long-term care insurance. This coverage is particularly intended for the elderly.

There are currently 8 million elderly people in Turkey, nearly 63% of whom are between 65 and 74 years old. According to estimates, the population of this age group is expected to reach 10.2% in 2023, 12.9% in 2030, 16.3% in 2040, 22.6% in 2060 and 25.6% in 2080.
