Two appointments at AIG

AIGSabra Purtill has been promoted as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of the life and retirement business of American International Group (AIG).

A graduate of Georgetown University and the University of Virginia, Purtill has more than 30 years of professional experience, including three years with AIG.

Tom Bolt, 65, succeeds Purtill as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of the group. He will report to Peter Zaffino, AIG's Chairman and CEO.

During his career, the newly promoted executive has held senior positions at several companies, including Lloyd's of London and Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI).

Prior to his recent appointment, T. Bolt served as AIG's Chief Underwriting Officer since 2018.
