Typhoon Rai hits the Philippines hard

typhon RaiOn 16 December 2021, Typhoon Rai, carrying 195 km/h winds, swept across the central and southern Philippines. The provisional death toll as of 20 December 2021 amounts to at least 375 dead, 500 injured and 56 missing.

This is one of the deadliest natural disasters in the history of the country. Bohol which recorded at least 80 deaths is the island most affected by the typhoon.
