UAP raises 4.7 billion KES (56.9 million USD) with private investors

The financial group UAP Holdings has raised 4.7 billion KES (56.9 million USD) with three private investors: Aureos Africa Fund, AfricInvest Fund & AfricInvest Financial Sector Fund and Swedfund International AB. The new capital increase allows the holding company to finance UAP’s development strategy in Africa, strengthen the balance sheet of its subsidiaries and to support real estate strategy. The group is present in several insurance markets of East Africa, especially in Kenya.
