Updating the bill for the coverage of natural disasters

The losses resulting from the October 2008 floods in Tangier have reignited the debate over the bill designed to cover natural catastrophes. Elaborated under the auspices of the Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR) , and finalised in 2006, the project has remained outstanding.
The adoption of this law would impose risk sharing between insurers, reinsurers and the State.
