Wafa Assurance, 2015 results

Wafa Assurance closed the 2015 financial year with a turnover of 6.407 billion MAD(650.81 million USD), up by 5.4% in comparison with 2014. As for the net result, it fell by 4.7 %, it went from 836 million MAD (92.82 million USD) in 2014 to 800 million MAD (81.26 million USD) in 2015.

With 3.422 billion MAD (347.6 million USD) of written premiums, the life business grew by 13.3%. It now represents 53% of the company's total turnover. Non life premiums were down by 2.4%, totalling 2.985 billion MAD (303.21 million USD) at the end of 2015.

After distribution of a special dividend, shareholders' equity remained stable at 4.900 billion MAD (497.73 million USD).
Wafa's profitability remained high, with a return on equity (ROE) of 19.5% in 2015.
