Wafa Assurance extends its operations in the ECOWAS zone

Wafa Assurance hosted the first international edition of “Préventica” showroom on October 3 and 4, 2017 in Dakar. The event is aimed at sensitizing companies to the importance of risk prevention. Awards have been granted to the companies having adopted best safety policies.

Taking the floor during this event, the chairman and chief executive officer of Wafa Assurance, Ali Harraj pointed out that Morocco’s accession to the Economic Community of West African States, (ECOWAS), is likely to boost the insurance industry in the region.

Already endowed with subsidiaries in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire and in Cameroon, the Moroccan group is considering the possibility of setting up entities in other regional countries.
