White Mountains Re sells Sirius

White Mountains Re Group Ltd. has decided to cede its American branch Sirius to a group of investors led by Lightyear Capital. The transaction is due to be finalised before the end of the 2006 summer season.
White Mountains Re Group Ltd. is a Bermudan holding whose reinsurance companies provide leading capacities in property, accident, health, marine and aviation classes of business.
