Wimbledon tennis tournament cancelled

WimbledonThe 2020 edition of Wimbledon, initially planned to be held from 19 June to 29 July 12 2020, is cancelled due to the coronavirus.

Wimbledon is the only British Grand Slam tournament to have a pandemic cancellation insurance. The amount of the coverage has not been disclosed.

In 2019, the revenues generated by Wimbledon amounted to 280 million EUR (307 million USD) which is more than those achieved by Roland Garros; estimated at 250-260 million EUR (280-291 million USD).
