Worrying rise in fraud

Companies are demanding exemplary sanctions against insurance fraudsters. Fraud is becoming more and more sophisticated causing significant losses to the sector. Between 2007 and 2011, 44 700 cases of fraud were reported. Almost 91% of them relate to life insurance. Companies count on better cooperation from the medical staff and the police to halt this trend. Insurers also require a revision of the legislation to introduce sanctions to such deeds.
