Switzerland, Zurich greatly affected by a new suicide

Three years after the suicide of its financial manager Pierre Wauthier, Zurich Insurance has been once again overwhelmed by another tragic death. A press release issued on May 30, 2016, announced the suicide of the former CEO of the Zurich insurer, Martin Senn, aged 59 years. He left his post in December 2015 following the poor results reported.

Remember that the Swiss company is having difficult times. It is planning to cut 8000 jobs. In 2015, the Group's net profit fell by 53% from 3.9 billion USD in 2014 to 1.84 billion USD.  During the same period, the combined ratio also deteriorated from 96.9 to 103.6%.
