Zurich Insurance to acquire MetLife's P&C business

Zurich InsuranceThe Swiss insurer Zurich Insurance is acquiring the motor and homeowner's insurance activities from its American competitor MetLife. The transaction is valued at 3.94 billion USD.

The Swiss insurer will contribute 2.43 billion USD while its American subsidiary Farmers Exchanges will pay 1.51 billion USD.
