Aimen Saba Azara, new CEO of QGIRCO

Aimen Saba Azara has joined Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company (QGIRCO) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeds Saeed Abu Gharbieh, who resigned from his position on 29 October 2024. The appointment took effect on 6 January 2025.

A. Saba Azara boasts over 20 years' experience in the insurance and reinsurance sector, having held a number of senior positions with companies in the Middle East, notably in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

He is now at the helm of QGIRCO, after having served as CEO and member of the Board of Directors of Alliance Insurance (United Arab Emirates) for 12 years.

The new CEO is a graduate of the London Business School, the Chartered Insurance Institute and the University of Wales, among others.
