Allianz dethrones AXA

With a little more than 10 billion FCFA (22.2 million USD) in turnover in 2009, Allianz becomes the non-life market leader, followed by AXA 9.695 billion FCFA (21.6 million USD). Just behind them comes Prévoyance Assurances with 7.317 billion FCFA (16.3 million USD) and NSIA with 6.930 billion FCFA (15.4 million USD). The life market is also dominated by Allianz which reported a 2009 turnover of 3.583 billion FCFA (7.9 million USD). The second life company is Union des Assurances du Sénégal with 3.149 billion FCFA (7 million USD).
