ARIG, 2017 results

Arab Insurance Group (ARIG) has published its results as at December 31, 2017. The Bahraini reinsurer achieved a net result of 7.2 million USD, down by 21.7% compared to 9.2 million USD in 2016.

The turnover, amounted to 225.6 million USD against 245.4 million USD in 2016. This decline in underwritings is due to a proactive policy of non-renewal of unprofitable business.

The combined ratio deteriorated by 2.6 points going from 101.5% in 2016 to 104.1% a year later.
