The arm-wrestling between FNACAM and operators still exists

The sector's highlights remain dominated by the standoff between insurers and the «Fédération Nationale des Agents et Courtiers d'Assurance du Maroc » (FNACAM). The latter recommends that its affiliates should not sign the endorsements to nomination treaties binding them with companies. The dispute between both parties concerns mainly the enforcement of the new settlement terms of insurance premiums. For companies, premiums must be transferred to insurers no later than the 15th of the month in conformity with the contract's expiry date. The fractioning of premiums constitutes another bone of contention between insurers and their agents.
