Artisan fishing is henceforth covered by an insurance policy

The authorities have ended national consultations and introduced craft fishing insurance. The new scheme is expected to provide repair or refund for boats and material in case of degradation or sinking. It insures the repair of damages caused to third party, and pays benefits to right holders in case of death of the insured person. The liability guarantee is limited to 50 million FCFA (98 000 USD).
