ASR granted approval to operate as a Lloyd's service company in Morocco

ASR North Africa, an entity belonging to Morocco-based Africa Specialty Risks (ASR), has been granted Lloyd's of London approval to operate as a service company. ASR North Africa is now authorized to underwrite business in the country on behalf of ASR Syndicate 2454.

This approval gives brokers in Morocco, Africa's second largest insurance market, direct access to Lloyd's capacity.

Based at Casablanca Finance City (CFC), ASR North Africa was established in November 2022. It has since expanded its presence in French-speaking Africa with the recent signing of a partnership agreement with the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
