AXA Hong Kong and Macao has launched a new parametric heat wave insurance product for employees working outdoors during the summer months.
The rising temperatures in recent years have posed major risks for workers permanently exposed to outdoor conditions during episodes of extreme heat.
The coverage provides an indemnity of 100 HKD (12.9 USD) or a “heatwave kit” of equivalent value, when the temperature exceeds 36°C for three consecutive days during the period between August and October.
