Axa, number one in terms of net written premiums

AM Best has published the 2010 insurers’ rankings. In terms of written net premiums, Axa has come first with 83 billion EUR (110 billion USD), that is, 0.2% more than the previous year. Generali is second with net premiums worth 67 billion EUR (88.8 billion USD), which represents about a 3% growth over one year. Both European insurers are followed by American UnitedHealth Group.
