Berkshire Hathaway Insurance Group obtains a license in Ireland

The American group Berkshire Hathaway Insurance has obtained, from the Irish authorities, the agreement to market insurance products via its European subsidiary, Berkshire Hathaway European Insurance (BHEI).

Based in Dublin, BHEI will act as a DAC (Designated Activity Company). It will provide services to customers and brokers on behalf of the Berkshire Group's subsidiaries operating in Ireland and in the European Economic Area.

BHEL will begin its activities at the end of March 2019.
